President
Bret Burge is the founder and President of Burge Energy. A Southern California native, he was raised under the mentorship of his father, Dan Burge, who founded Burge Construction in 1977. Bret joined Burge Construction as Vice President in 2010. In 2020, he became President.
Building on the legacy of Burge Construction, Burge Energy is a trusted, local solution for energy storage. His goal is to continue to deliver high quality work throughout Southern California supporting like-minded business in the community to gain energy independence. Bret received his business degree from the University of Montana and resides in Laguna Beach with his wife, 3 children, and Piper, the family dog.

Director of Operations
Justin has grown up in the industry with over 25 years experience in commercial construction. His career in operations includes project engineering, project management, entitlement services, and leading field teams.
Prior to joining Burge Energy, Justin was the Chief Operating Officer for a commercial construction company based in Southern California. Throughout his career, Justin has taken on increased responsibilities leading large operational teams and overseeing up to $400M in annual revenues.
Justin received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

John Lowell has over 40 years’ experience in engineering, operations, international business, and executive management in the west coast hi-tech product development industry. His primary focus has been in industrial equipment, medical devices, contract manufacturing/engineering, and most recently energy storage.
The past 25+ years have included leading a variety of start-ups, publicly traded, and fortune 500 companies holding VP, GM, and C-level roles. He has successfully led 7 M&A transactions, integration of acquired entities, and corporate governance.
Mr. Lowell holds BS & MS in engineering and MBA.

Paul Siblerud has over 30 years of experience in technical equipment companies managing all aspects of product launch, engineering management, and strategic customer relations.
The past 10 years he has focused on equipment development in the energy storage market.
Mr. Siblerud is the owner of the energy consulting firm STA (Strategic Tech Analysis) He is a resident of Montana with ongoing duties in Washington, Hawaii, and California.

Customer Relations & Acquisitions
John Asalone joined Burge Energy in 2022 after spending his entire professional career owning and operating a restoration company with his father.
John attended the University of Montana where he received his degree in business spending as much time as he could skiing and enjoying his 4 years of pre-retirement in Montana.
John spends his free time with family, church, and coaching his sons little league baseball team. John, his wife Kiki, and three children reside in Trabuco Canyon.

Division Manager
Robert is a skilled journeyman electrician with 10 years of experience in construction. Inspired by his father's masonry company, Robert's passion for construction emerged early on. In his previous role, Robert oversaw electric vehicle charging stations projects for Motive Energy. His expertise in estimating electrical and commercial solar projects has provided him with extensive knowledge of the renewable energy sector.
Born and raised in Orange County, he now lives in Laguna Niguel with his wife, Christina, and their two children. During his leisure time, Robert enjoys surfing and spending time with his family and church community.
